Random Assembly

In permaculture design, random assembly is a brainstorming technique that pairs elements and relationships by chance to surface connections a linear mind might skip past. Forcing unlikely combinations — a chicken beside a pond, a raft attached to a grapevine — prompts you to ask why that link could work, and often uncovers genuinely useful placements and functions for a site.
